OEM Sales Director

If so, our client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated OEM Sales Director to take charge and lead their sales efforts within the long-haul trucking industry.

Over the past 14 years, they have transformed from a start-up to a market leader, thanks to their innovative, patented technologies manufactured in the USA. Their solutions significantly improve fuel efficiency for long-haul tractor-trailers by reducing aerodynamic drag.
Position Summary:
As the OEM Sales Director, you will be responsible for accomplishing initiatives in support of our client’s priorities within the assigned customers. This will require developing cross-functional relationships that include but are not limited to Engineering, Marketing, Product Strategy, and of course Category Management/Procurement. Also critical to success will be collaborating with various stakeholders within the company to ensure alignment and execution of the objectives. This is a remote position with the ideal candidate being located near a major US airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Builder: Cultivate a deep network of decision-makers and key influencers within OEMs.
- Opportunity Hunter: Identify and secure internal and external support to meet and exceed targets.
- Problem Solver: Support internal stakeholders by resolving issues, including payment-related concerns.
- Program Leader: Spearhead the launch of new products within OEMs and ensure smooth execution.
- Brand Ambassador: Be the “face and voice” of the company, maintaining high visibility within OEMs.
- Revenue Driver: Grow revenue while managing costs to support long-term financial success.
- Strategic Thinker: Execute pricing objectives and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Industry Insider: Engage with fleets and dealers to understand product usage and market dynamics.
- Trade Show Champion: Represent the company at tradeshows and industry events, ensuring strong OEM presence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in a multi-state territory.
- Expertise in OEM sales strategies, particularly for differentiated or disruptive products.
- Basic understanding of product installation and the ability to complete spec sheets.
- Proficient in delivering compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
- Willingness to travel 35-50% of the time, with the discipline to work remotely.
- Eager to train, observe, and assist in product installations to better understand customer needs.
