About the Role:

As a Product Development Engineer, you'll be at the heart of innovation, driving projects from conception to execution. Collaborating closely with OEM partners, you'll spearhead the development of groundbreaking aerodynamic solutions for over-the-road trucks and trailers. Your expertise in CAD, FEA, and aerodynamic analysis will be pivotal in creating top-notch engineering designs and ensuring unparalleled product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualization, development, and prototyping of innovative add-on aerodynamic devices for over the road trucks and trailers
  • Work with OEM customers to generate product requirements and oversee development testing
  • Create and maintain product development schedules and manage CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Material
  • Fabricate production intent prototypes, tooling, and fixturing in support of ongoing production of aerodynamic products using various equipment
  • Support internal testing of new products, testing at customer facilities, as well as third-party test locations
  • Comply with all company policies, including but not limited to attendance and punctuality, security, and ethical conduct

Qualifications:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks preferred) and hands-on prototyping skills
  • Exceptional communication and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with basic direction
  • Experience in manufacturing, especially in heavy trucking, is advantageous
  • FEA background a plus (Ansys preferred) and aerodynamic knowledge and CFD background a plus
